Groundbreaking digital platform for a better World Cup experience through mobile
With Geztio’s digital marketing platform, participants, visitors and partners during Skitour 2020 received offers and information directly on their mobile phones, tailored to their needs based on location, time and AI-driven analysis.

Bakgrund

Geztio was commissioned to develop the World Cup event, Skitour 2020’s digital solution, event app and website. The main purpose of the solutions was to inform visitors to Skitour 2020, inform about the program and any changes to the program and/or start times, present results, social media feeds and be a tool for the visitor with the aim of making their experience of Skitour 2020 better and easier.
Geztio AB was also commissioned to provide tickets for the events through the app in order to simplify ticket management for the visitor by having the ticket end up and be managed in the app. Geztio’s research-based, digital app platform solution, CMS backend system, and digital strategy were used as a solution in the work for Skitour 2020.

Webb app - Ski tour
- All results, social media, news and info were available on the web.
- Tickets and parking could be purchased online.
- Accommodation, transport and activities were communicated via the website.
- Advertisements and sponsors were exposed on the web.
- Data was collected online and displayed in Skitour’s account in Geztio BI.
- Administration of the app and website was handled via Geztio’s CMS.
- Youtube playlists were integrated.
- SVT and NRK’s broadcasts were integrated into the website.
- Social media and a social media wall could be viewed on the web.

Social media

- YouTube-spellistor visades både i appen och på webben.

Notifikationssystem
Openback notification system was implemented in the app and via its admin panel notifications were created in advance to create added value for the visitor and partners. Geographically controlled notifications enabled different messages to different areas and target groups and gave the visitor the right information at the right place and at the right time. Offline functionality meant that notifications worked when the app was not connected. The system can be used to push survey questions via the notifications.

Reklam
Ett annonssystem för sponsorer och annonsörer fanns tillgängligt i appen. Geografiskt riktade annonser möjliggjorde platsbaserad annonsering och ökade annonsmöjligheterna. Annonserna skickades till Geztio, som placerade annonserna enligt instruktioner. Placering och share of voice-parametrar för annonserna hanterades av Geztio via företagets annonssystem.
Biljettförsäljning - app och webb
The QR coded ticket is delivered via email with login to the customer’s “my pages” and as an SMS with a link to the ticket. Among other things, entrance tickets, sponsor tickets, parking tickets, etc. were handled through the Geztio app system.
POS-försäljning
Tickets sold in the entrances via the mobile POS system were printed as QR codes on the mobile receipt printer. The tickets were scanned via a robust Android phone with a laser scanner and by the system’s scanning app. Sales statistics were displayed in the Geztio BI system except for POS sales which were displayed through the ticket system.

Geztio BI - Business Intelligence
Geztio BI collected data from the apps, the web, the online ticket shops and from iTicket.
Alla organisationer hade tillgång till samma konto genom personliga inloggningar.
Sales figures from iTicket were continuously collected into the account and showed sales via the online shops and corporate sales. Web and app traffic data as well as guest night statistics for the host cities Åre and Östersund were stored in Geztio BI and could be analyzed through the system.
