But as a guest at a destination, it suddenly becomes difficult to use.
As a guest, you want all the destination’s offers easily accessible on your mobile – in ONE app.
Geztio was formed in 2015 by the entrepreneur Lars-Börje “Bulan” Eriksson after his time as CEO of Åre Destination AB 2008-2013. The basis was the realization that consumers and entrepreneurs need to find each other in a smoother way.
Through an analysis-driven mobile marketplace, the consumer’s experience can be improved by making a destination’s range easily accessible via mobile. At the same time, companies can easily offer their services and products to the guest.
The product is based on world-leading tourism research by researchers from Mid Sweden University and consists of an analysis platform and an app that communicates, advertises and sells destinations and events to the guest.
A successful proof-of-concept has been established. In the spring of 2017, the company launched its MVP on the analysis platform and the app has been successfully used at the Alpine WC in Åre 2019, the biathlon WC in Östersund 2019, Skitour 2020 and the Medieval Week 2020.
